our mission
'City Kids’ ministry exists to invite kids into a deeper understanding of the Kingdom of Christ and strengthening their knowledge and personal relationship with God. To serve God, the community, and families, equipping kids can come to know Jesus and serve others the way God shaped them to.
Children are born with an innate sense of wonder and faith that is real and authentic. As teachers and leaders, our role is to provide a foundation of experiences on which children build a life of learning and growth toward mature and vital faith.

safety
Our first and highest priority is every child’s safety. Every volunteer submits to a thorough CORI background check. We train and orient volunteers about safety and security protocols. Check-in and check out rules are strict for your safety. And another huge priority for us is fun! So we pour ourselves into the task of creating experiences and teaching lessons your child will talk about on the ride home.
On your first visit...
When you arrive a
t City Church, please park right up front, as our special guests! If you have kids, enter the main door, head up the stairs, walk down the hall and look to the right for the sign marked “Kids Check-In” and our staff and volunteers will meet you at the door, take down your basic information and learn a little about your children. We’ll ask about allergies, any special needs, and then show you the classroom where your kids will be learning.
After they’re all checked in, just make your way down the hall where our greeting team will meet you at the sanctuary doors and offer you a bulletin, help you find the information desk, and make sure you find a seat. If there is an issue that needs your attention, the kids’ volunteers will send you a text during the worship service. The kids will join you in service for the first two worship songs before being dismissed to their programs.

The ride home...
On your way home, be sure to ask your child questions like, “Did you have fun?” and “What did you learn today?” It’s our goal that every child has a positive answer to these two questions, every week!
